Tania Lan
Romance & Fantasy Author
About Tania
Tania is a French-speaking, half-Vietnamese, half-Swiss author based in Canada.
She's struggled to fit between cultures most of her life, a theme often reflected in her writing. Her passion for stories with a healthy dose of romance and witty banter goes back to when she was just a kid; she hopes to make that kid proud with diverse stories that would have helped her fit in.
When she isn't writing or troubleshooting erratic computer processes at work, she can be found playing videogames with her kid and her husband, worshipping her two cats, taking care of the tomato plants in her garden, or collecting tattoos and books.
She is represented by Laura Crockett at Triada US Literary Agency.

THE STRESS TEST
(adult contemporary romance)
Finding love is like building a good, sturdy chair, and Anh Dat Mercer can prove it.
Anh is a quality tester for a big furniture company. She’s an expert in stress tests, from pummeling cushions into submission to optimal drawer-thrusting mechanisms. She has a list of tests and success criteria for everything, including dating.
One man fits her list: Jake Murphy. Only he’s been her best friend Selena’s nemesis since childhood. Anh has no choice but to keep her crush a secret, chain-dating and stress testing all the other eligible men in town while she waits for Selena to lift her ban.
When Selena suspiciously starts dating Jake a few months before her ex’s wedding—to which they’re all invited—Anh is crushed. She questions if Jake is right for Selena’s success criteria while Selena insists only chemistry matters.
They make a bet: Anh and Selena will go on six double dates with Jake and his serious-as-a-spreadsheet, hot-as-hell new roommate, Owen, who already makes Anh’s blood boil. Anh will stress test Selena and Jake’s couple, while Anh and Owen will bond on vibes only.
But when everyone starts coming apart from the pressure and the stitching frays between dating and faking, it’s not merely a question of who will make it alive and in love—but whether they’re willing to grab their hammer and screwdrivers to reassemble the friendships they've destroyed.
THE STRESS TEST is an upcoming adult romance from VR Editoras (Mexico) and VR Editora (Brazil), publication date TBA.
